The Guild 3 chose to simplify many of these events to be menu options, having the same exact results but not requiring characters to be physically present. These features mostly revolve around roleplay, your character and others had a more active presence on the map, having to go physical to certain locations for events. It contains minimal bugs and an overall improved economy compared to the Guild 2, however, it also lacks some features that long time fans considered central. The Guild 3 is the result of a design decision to focus on the trade aspect of the guild series. But what really matters is just getting more shops, selling more expensive stuff and buying yourself to the top.Īgain: This is without any knowledge about Game #1 and Game #2. It seems like the developer tried hard to give the illusion of choice, with a metric crapton of options to click on. Each new title adds like half a dozen more such interactions that clutter the UI and all seem to be pointless for the overarching goal. You can kiss your wife, laugh at a random person and like two dozens other actions that don't seem to be worth the time, because you could be making more money in that time. You also get a TREMENDOUS amount of social actions that all seem rather pointless. This will allow you to get more shops, make more cash and buy an even higher title. It is touted to be a simulation of a person starting a dynasty.Īll you are doing is setting up shops, automating the production and selling of wares. I simply struggle to find a game in this mess. I have spend around 3 hours in the game now and have yet to find any fun gameplay whatsoever. So my observations are strictly focused on The Guild 3. We will provide an update on the editor topic during summer. We haven't talked much about the tool in the last years, which is because we were solely focussed on the game itself. Many of you are asking for news about the editor.
With The Guild 3 leaving Early Access, we will from now on concentrate on fixing bugs and - where needed - balancing. Version 1.0.1 has that included, of course! The answer is easy: We prepared a preview version for the press with all features in it, but still did some polishing which came afterwards. First of all, why version 1.0.1 and not 1.0 you may ask.
